Mission Statement

 Youth Entrepreneurs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering "Generation Genius" to drive future change. Our immersive programs in the Greater New Haven area prepare middle and high school students to lead in various sectors, integrating social and emotional learning, community engagement, and entrepreneurial skills. We also offer adult programs to support entrepreneurs and professionals. Committed to inclusivity, our free programs prioritize underserved youth, aiming to foster self-awareness, passion, and achievement in future leaders.

At Youth Entrepreneurs, we center ourselves on the following core values:

Empowerment: We believe any young person can realize entrepreneurship's dream with the right education and coaching. This means imbuing young people with the knowledge and sense of self-worth necessary to pave their own path forward. When young people are empowered to take ownership of their lives, better outcomes are achieved all around.

Diversity and Inclusion: We believe in upholding all human beings' dignity and respecting their right to envision and work toward becoming the best possible version of themselves. We strive to create an inclusive and welcoming community centered on equity, empowerment, and nonjudgmental guidance. We want to be part of a new inclusion infrastructure that offers a seat at the table to every person from every background.

Inspiration: We believe in fanning the flames of passion within each young person and helping them work toward whatever they envision for themselves with enthusiasm and persistence. We believe in the power of simple encouragement to inspire youth to believe in themselves as they meet challenges and seize opportunities. 

Education: We believe knowledge is power. Young entrepreneurs can only truly make the confident decisions critical to growing new businesses when they are prepared to find and act on sound information.

Service: We believe in humble servitude, focusing on putting others' needs before our own. We are committed to servant leadership and model this approach to the young people we serve and our community. All the while, we encourage young people to view themselves as servant leaders ready to give to their communities whenever possible.
